Annell Wayman ObituaryPublished by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 10, 2026.Annell Wayman, age 79, of Buena Vista, Colo. died March 4, 2026.Born on October 4, 1946 in Tulsa, Okla. to C. Emil and Mary Louise Wattenbarger, she married Larry (Bill) Wayman on August 25, 1968 and moved to rural Greentop, Mo. where they made their home. To this union three sons were born: Kirk, Kyle, and Aaron.She was a lifelong Primitive Baptist, living her faith as song leader, clerk and church member. She taught students at schools in Centerville, Iowa, Queen City, Mo., Novinger, Mo. and Kirksville, Mo., and enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines in Kirksville and Collegiate Peaks Chorale in Buena Vista.Survivors include her husband, Bill, and their sons and families: Kirk, wife Sarah and children Aubrey and Blake of Lenexa, Kan.; Kyle, wife Joy and children Glory, Sage, and Lionel of Buena Vista, Colo.; and Aaron and wife Missy of Liberty, Mo. She is also survived by her brother David Wattenbarger and wife Kathie of Plano, Texas and two nephews Mark Wattenbarger of Oklahoma and Scott Wattenbarger of Texas.A private family service will be held near their mountain home at a later date.
