Anne Whitford

Anne Whitford, 88, was called home to the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026. leaving behind a legacy defined by faith, family, and a trademark sense of humor. Born in Indiana on July 6, 1937, Anne attended Allegheny College before embarking on a life-long adventure with her husband, James, whom she married in December 1963. They raised their three daughters in Cleveland, OH, Vicksburg, MS, and Milwaukee, WI, before making Grand Rapids their permanent home in 1978. Anne was active in her church community. Above all, she will be remembered for her love of family & friends and always being able to find the humorous side of every situation, a light she shared generously with her sister, Sally Deel; her daughters, Jody (David) Cash, Wendy (Todd) Peuler, and Jamie (Curt) Groelsma; her grandchildren, Michael (Christina) Peuler, Caitlin Cash, Tressa (Collin) Hill, Ashley Peuler, Taylor Cash, Jim (Kendall) Groelsma; her great-granddaughters, Leah and Myla Peuler; and her niece and nephews.A private family memorial service will be held per Anne's request.
