Anne Elizabeth Davis

Anne Elizabeth Davis, a registered nurse and longtime resident of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, passed away on March 7, 2026 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born to the late Richard and Joanne Milton, Anne was raised in Westbrook, Maine. She graduated from Westbrook High School in 1979. Early in her working life she drove trucks, including a fuel delivery route for Dodge Oil Company in which she met her husband, Charles Davis. Their loving partnership spanned 40 years until her passing. While raising their twin daughters, Anne drove a school bus for the Old Orchard Beach school system and later for summer camp programs and field trips. She remained an active member of the Old Orchard Beach Alumni Association for staff.

When her daughters graduated from high school, Anne returned to college and earned her nursing degree. She found deep fulfillment as a registered nurse, caring for others with warmth and competence. Most recently she worked at Southridge Rehab and Living Center in Biddeford, where she was cherished by colleagues and residents alike for her quick smile, helpful spirit, and small thoughtful gestures such as leaving pens on desks to brighten someone’s day. Anne also served as Secretary of the American Legion Post 76 Auxiliary and was a member of Saco Grange #53.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Davis of Old Orchard Beach; her sister Deb Fritzson of Raymond and sister Nancy Heath of Westbrook; stepchildren Lisa Gagnon (Rene), Charlene Koehling (Peter), Alan Davis (Kyla), and Fred Davis; daughters Deborah Leighton and Nancy Sult; adult grandchildren Ryan Gagnon (Heather), Jessica Stagg (Sam), and Adam Conroy (Ali); six younger grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
