September 21, 1938— March 7, 2026
Taylorsville, UT
Anna Ruth Kroescher Larsen, 87, passed away peacefully in her bed at Legacy House of Taylorsville on March 7, 2026.
Born to Ernest F. Kroescher and Ethel M. Walker Kroescher, Anna graduated from South High School in 1956. She married Garen Theron Larsen on January 29, 1958, and together they raised two sons. After her husband’s passing, Anna raised her boys on her own and took great pride in the men they became.
She is survived by her son Gary (Bonita) Larsen, four grandchildren—Heather, Trace, Heidi, and Brenden—and six great-grandchildren: Rayna, Dean, Ember, Lucrezia, Korra, and one on the way. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garen T. Larsen; her son, Micheal (Danette) Larsen; her half-brothers, Alvin Lloyd, Glenn Lloyd, and Wallace Lloyd; her half-sisters, Melva Lloyd and Wanda Lloyd; and her sister, Carol Kroescher Pangos.
Anna held a deep passion for family history and genealogy, successfully tracing her lineage to the Revolutionary War and the Mayflower. She was a proud member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The General Society of Mayflower Descendants. She was also an enthusiastic football fan who especially loved cheering for her Minnesota Vikings.
