June 26, 1928— March 9, 2026
Loveland, OH
Anna Mae Weiler, age 97, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, surrounded by her daughter Becky and her two grandchildren, Jennifer and Elaine. Born on June 26, 1928, in San Bernardino, California, she was the daughter of Elmer and Floris (née Rosson) Estes. She graduated from Guilford High School in 1946 and married Wilfred Weiler, who preceded her in death in 1966.
Throughout her life, Anna worked as a nurse’s aide, a secretary for an auctioneer, a Stanley Home Products sales representative, and a store manager for convenience stores. Yet nothing brought her greater joy than her roles as mother and grandmother. She was known for her kindness, warmth, and sociability, delighting in long conversations, listening to others’ stories, and sharing her own with remarkable detail and clarity even in her later years. She found quiet happiness in simple moments—sitting on the porch with coffee while watching hummingbirds, seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at play, and cherishing memories of early mornings spent having coffee with her father on the dock in Missouri.
A lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Anna faced many hardships—including the loss of her brother Eugene “Buddy” Estes when she was 16, the struggles of the Great Depression, and the impacts of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War—yet she remained resilient and optimistic. She often reminded those around her that “this too shall pass.”
Anna is survived by her son, Rick (Linda) Weiler; her daughter, Rebecca Brewer; grandchildren Michael (Kristen) Weiler, Bob Jr. (Chantel) Weiler, Chris (Carey) Weiler, Lisa (James) Whalen, Elaine (Joe) Roman, Jennifer (Aimee) Stewart, and Gloria (Dale) Massengill; 16 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren, with 5 more on the way. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Louise and Carleen Weiler. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Anne Weiler; her sons, Mike Weiler and Bob Weiler; her brother, Eugene “Buddy” Estes; and her granddaughter, Cathy.
