Anna Jenkins

Anna Louise (McKinney) Jenkins, 96, of Strawn, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on July 8, 1929, in South Houston, Texas, to Paul and Ethel (Pearson) McKinney, she accepted Jesus into her heart at the age of 13 and remained a faithful servant of her Savior for more than 80 years.

She graduated from Spur High School in 1947 and married the love of her life, Joe J. Jenkins, on August 2, 1947, in Denison, Texas. Their marriage lasted 62 years until Joe’s passing on April 5, 2010. Anna was known for her quiet strength, deep faith, and devotion to her family.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Noles of Keller, Texas; two sons, Paul “Butch” Jenkins and his wife Jana of Palestine, Texas, and Timothy Jenkins and his wife Linda of Strawn, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also held dear her special son and cousin, Terry McDonald, and cherished the friendship and care of Candace Trimble and Hospice nurse Ora Lee Jackson.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ethel McKinney; her sister, Pauline Cubine; her brother, Dr. Alfred McKinney; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Jenkins; and her great-granddaughter, Jaquelyn Jenkins.
