Ann Marie Pirrera (née Badagliacca), a devoted mother and sister, passed away at her home on March 10, 2026, at the age of 78. Born and raised in Queens Village, New York, she graduated from Mater Christi High School, where she first met her future husband, the late Captain Alexander Pirrera. The couple shared 50 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and companionship.
Ann Marie was known for her charity and kindness toward others. She found joy in reading and was deeply dedicated to various charitable works. She also possessed remarkable talent in crafting, particularly sewing, knitting, and crochet. Those who knew her will remember the genuine love she brought into their lives.
She is survived by her children, Michael, Suzanne, and Andrew, her grandson Leonardo, and her sister, Joanna Badagliacca of Lexington, Kentucky. Her family asks that she be remembered for the warmth and love she gave so freely rather than for the sadness of her passing.
