Ann Wolters Fredrickson, 97, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in South Haven, Michigan at Laurel Oaks of South Haven Assisted Living Facility. Born in Holland, Michigan on October 21, 1928, to Edward J. Wolters and Laura (Lemmen) Wolters, Ann graduated from Hope College in 1950. She married Philip Fredrickson, a fellow Hope graduate, and together they moved to Clearwater, Florida, where they raised their two children.
Ann worked as an elementary school teacher and remained active in her church and the Junior League of Clearwater. She found great joy in golfing, sewing, playing bridge, spending time at the beach, and visiting with friends. After more than 25 years in Florida, she and Phil returned to Holland, Michigan, where he worked at Hope College and they served together as dorm parents for a freshmen residence hall. Throughout her life, Ann remained deeply devoted to her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Philip, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Ann is survived by her daughter, Sara Fredrickson (Mary Jane Hill), her son, Tom Fredrickson (Julie), and three grandchildren, Emily Fredrickson, Stephen Fredrickson, and Andrew Hill.
