Tretinik, 79, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026 at home with family by her side.She was born in Uniontown on November 6, 1946 to the late Thomas Ray and Eileen "Toots" McIntyre.In 1971 Ann, married Mr. Paul Michael Tretinik. They were together for forty-four years until he preceded her in death in 2015.Ann was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelist Church, and a proud graduate St. John Evangelist High School, class of 1964.After years as a stay at home mom, Ann became a secretary at St. John Evangelist grade school. Later she served as a secretary for Dr. James V. Weimer in Masontown.Those who knew Ann could find her getting her hair done on Thursdays, then pressing her Irish luck at Friday night Bingo. Until recently Ann never missed the chance to light a candle before Saturday Night Mass then off to Eat N Park for dinner."Grannie Annie" will be greatly missed by the granddaughters she adored, always cheering them on for accomplishments big or small.Ann is survived by two daughters, Shelley Schmeltz and husband Dr. Mark Schmeltz of Edwardsburg, MI and Suzanne Linger and husband Brian Linger of Uniontown; two granddaughters, MacKenzie (Chase Crissman) and Sydney Schmeltz; a sister, Mary Jo Brace of Parkersburg, WV; a sister-in-law, Kathie McIntyre of Charolette, NC; and several nieces and nephews.Ann was also preceded in death by a brother, Patrick McIntyre.Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26th from 6 to 8 PM at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 27th at 10 AM at St. John Evangelist Church, 50 Jefferson St., Uniontown, PA 15401, with prayers of transfer at 9:15 AM at the funeral home.Inurnment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.Ann's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Christeen, Butch and Jenn, the girls at Envy Salon and the staff of Bristol Hospice.Your personal written tributes and memories are welcome and encouraged at www.hakyfuneralhome.comTo send a flower arrangement in memory of Ann E.
