Ann Cornett
May 25, 1939— March 8, 2026
Fredericksburg, VA
Ann Cornett, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on May 25, 1939, in Pennsylvania, Ann lived with a spirited nature that defined her days and touched everyone she met. Known for her vivacious personality and warm heart, she had a gift for making others feel welcome. Ann never knew a stranger and formed lasting friendships wherever she went, often welcoming those friends into her extended family.
In April 1964, she married the love of her life, Wayne. Their marriage was a beautiful example of devotion and enduring love. Every Valentine’s Day and anniversary, Wayne sent Ann yellow roses with a simple note that read, “Me love you!”—a tradition that captured the playful affection and deep commitment they shared.
Ann had a flair for style and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was known for her impeccable taste in clothing, shoes, and handbags, her bright lipstick, and her love of a good chai latte. Above all, her greatest joy came from her family, whom she loved fiercely. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the deepest pride and happiness, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her loving children, Jeffery Wayne Cornett (Nancie) and Cristi Ann Cornett Miller (Mark); her four beloved grandchildren, Austin Miller (Sydney), Tyler Fields (Dustyn), Jake Miller (Morgan), and Sean Wetzel (Alex); and her four cherished great-grandchildren, Marcus Miller, Elise Miller, Andrew Miller, and Sadie Miller. Her family will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
