Elizabeth Ann Collinsworth, age 80, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky. She was born on Wednesday, September 5, 1945, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Harold Edward Windhaus and the late Frances Ann Siewert Windhaus. Ann graduated from Holy Name Catholic School. In 1985, she was a founding member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, playing a key role in the first Mass services held in Powell County. Ann served as a Girl Scout troop leader and enjoyed keeping in touch with her girls through the years. Alongside her husband, she was a successful entrepreneur, operating several businesses, including Steve's Bit Service, Crooked Letter Print Shop, Ann's Office Supply, BASCO, Iron Mule Bit Company, and Lockworth Mining Company. An avid traveler, Ann visited every state in the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. She was a big NASCAR fan, particularly of Dale Earnhardt, and enjoyed playing trivia games. Ann's favorite musicians were Conway Twitty and Alan Jackson. She loved tending to both her flower and vegetable gardens and cherished the time spent with her family and siblings during traditional Burgoo family gatherings. Ann was deeply involved in her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, always there to support them. Known for her wit and outgoing personality, she was a great storyteller and made friends easily. Ann was very generous and was known for making the best spaghetti. Her best friend was her dog, Molly. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Mitchell Collinsworth; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Elam; and one great-grandchild, Charlotte Ruby Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Angela (Steve) Rogers of Stanton, and Stephanie Collinsworth Diaj of Lexington; two brothers, Rickie (Toni) Windhaus of Henderson, and Eddie Windhaus of Corydon; three sisters: Sue Hagan of Corydon, Pam Mullins of Henderson, and Cookie Carruthers of Corydon; six grandchildren: Anthia Nicole Elam of Clay City, Harlan Mitchell (Kim) Elam of Richmond, Stevie Elizabeth (Colten) King of Georgetown, Keeley Klae (Justin) Johnson of Verona, Italy, Liam Alexander (Savannah Roberts) Diaj of Newburg, Indiana, and Luke Stephen (Shay Olkoski) Diaj of Lexington; seven great- grandchildren: Eli Dakota King, Natalie Chase King, Rylie Elizabeth King, Jade Elizabeth Kennon, Vivian Harper Johnson, Clayton Jack Johnson, and Romy Caroline Johnson. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Father Frank Brawner, will be held at Our Lady Of The Mountain Catholic Church, 1093 East College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Burial will be held at Stonegate Cemetery in Stanton, with Melvin Burgher, Monty Berryman, Marvin Berryman, Jon Skidmore, Johnny Case, and Stephen Skidmore serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gail Brewer, Melissa Ann Baker, Seldon Reed, Troy Brooks, Wilma Skidmore, David Windhaus, David Catron, Gary and Candy Thompson, Rick and Pam Bowlby, Lloyd and Phyllis Fantz, and C.B. "Little Deal" Martin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
