Ann Byrd Vann

Ann Byrd Vann, age 77, of Conway, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson.

Born on April 1, 1948, to Ronald Byrd and Ellen Davis Byrd, Ann devoted her life to caring for others. She worked for more than twenty years at Pine Forest Rest Home, where her compassion and dedication to the elderly touched many lives.

After losing her husband, Keith Vann, in 1990, Ann focused her energy on raising her son, Heath. The arrival of her twin grandsons, Dalton and Dawson, in 2006 filled her life with fresh joy. She treasured her time with them and took great pride in being a loving and supportive grandmother. Family remained the heart of her world. She cherished trips to the beach and mountains with Heath and his family, and she enjoyed skeet shooting outings with Keith and Heath, blending her love of family with a favorite shared activity.

Ann is survived by her son, Heath Vann, and his wife, Kelly, of Conway; her twin grandsons, Dalton and Dawson Vann, of Conway; and her sister, Susan Byrd, of Kinston. Her joyful spirit, warm laughter, and deep capacity for love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness and devotion will endure in the hearts of her family.
