Ann Boyles Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina, was born on April 28, 1939, and passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She closed her eyes on earth and opened them in heaven in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Brown; her children, Jimmy Brown (Kathy Chavez), Julie Putnam (Sam), and Jeff Brown (Wendy); six grandchildren, Ashlyn Austin (Adam), Jamie Clay (Brad), Dillon Brown (Hannah), Brandon Putnam (Taylor), Carrie Anderson (Caleb), and Alex Chavez; and five great-grandchildren, Ada Austin, Parker Clay, Sage Putnam, Creece Anderson, and Coulee Anderson.
A faithful member of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, Ann served in the Presbyterian Women’s organization and on various church committees. She was especially involved in children’s ministries for many years, where she used her creativity to enrich lessons and help build a strong foundation in the Christian faith. She also worked as an Executive Secretary at Collins & Aikman, where she enjoyed planning and coordinating events and adding her creative touch to make each one memorable.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reid Boyles, and her siblings, Alene Adams, Richard Boyles, and Linda Black, Ann leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will continue through generations of her family. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.
