She lived a long and full life defined by strength, humor, resilience, and a deep love for her family.Ann proudly served her country during World War II as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Nurse Corps, dedicating herself to caring for others during a time of great need. Her service reflected the compassion, courage, and determination that she carried with her throughout her life.Ann was truly the heart of her family. She had a personality that was impossible to miss-amazingly funny, spicy, sassy, and always the life of the party. She never held back and always let you know exactly what she was thinking. Her quick wit and vibrant spirit brought laughter and energy to every room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved to brag about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was happiest when surrounded by them. Her pride in their accomplishments and her love for them were endless.Ann also enjoyed many simple pleasures in life. She loved watching baseball, spending time at the beach, and caring for the many pets she had over the years.She is survived by her loving children Donna Mackey (James Mango) and Richard Bachand and his wife Laurie, and was predeceased by her son Stephen Bachand (Eileen).Ann was the proud grandmother of Jennifer Ward, Melanie Shuback, Rick Bachand, Mauriah Cunningham (Mark), Lucas Bachand (Rachel), and Andrew Bachand (Laurie).She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Julia Ward, Ryan Ward, Mark Makara, Elle Makara, Ava Makara, Bladen Bachand, Hannah Bachand, Nora Bachand, Devon, Tristan, Arianna, Hailey, Makenna, Lexie, Evan, Tayah, Kylie, and Anissa.She was blessed to see the next generation as a loving great-great-grandmother to Asher, Declan, and Elysianna.Ann's 102 years (almost 103) were filled with love, laughter, strength, and unforgettable moments. As the matriarch of her family, she built a legacy that will live on through the many generations who were lucky enough to know and love her.
