Anita Louise Polach Wooley, affectionately known as Nana, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at Rapides Regional Hospital at the age of 89. Born on September 25, 1936, in Pennsylvania, she lived a life defined by deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

A longtime member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Anita touched many lives through her kindness and service. She served as Director of Client Vocational Services at Pinecrest, supporting countless individuals until her retirement in 2007. Her dedication earned her the Charles E. Dunbar Award. Anita was a wonderful cook who delighted in gathering family and friends around her table, filling her home with laughter and the warmth of home-cooked meals. An avid sports fan, she especially loved hockey and remained a loyal supporter of the Pittsburgh Penguins. She also enjoyed soccer and proudly cheered for her grandchildren at their baseball and football games, seldom missing an opportunity to be there for them.

She will be remembered with love as a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother whose legacy of faith, generosity, and family devotion endures.
