Anita Louise Chiuminatta

Anita Louise (Matlock) Chiuminatta was born on January 21, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, and passed away at home in Temecula, California, on March 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Anita will be remembered for her remarkable selflessness, strong work ethic, and her steadfast love and dedication to raising her six children. A natural caretaker, she spent her life nurturing her family and caring for countless pets, most recently her cherished miniature schnauzer, Bella, who remained faithfully by her side.

Anita found joy in cooking, gardening, completing puzzles, building Lego sets, and playing checkers and Connect Four with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Joseph A. Chiuminatta, Cathleen Coltrain, Lisa Brownen, Brenda Chiuminatta-Chavez, and Christine Cunningham, along with her 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joseph E. Chiuminatta, and her daughter, Deborah Embry.
