Anita L. Telfer

Anita Telfer passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 in Hilliard, Ohio at the age of 84. Born in 1941 in Columbus, Ohio to Audry Taynor and Albert Heckman, Anita lived her entire life in and around the city she loved. A graduate of South High School, she earned a nursing degree from Capital University and later a Master of Theological Studies from Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University.

In 1963, Anita married the love of her life, Robert Telfer. Their marriage lasted 39 years until his passing. Deeply devoted to her faith, she remained passionately involved with Old Trinity Lutheran Church throughout her life. She cherished her family and friends, found joy in serving others, and took delight in her beloved flamingo collection.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Renee) and Randy (April), and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew (Melany), Maisha, Marlow, and Amalia.
