Anita Moran ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Logan Funeral Home, Inc. - Exton on Mar. 9, 2026.ANITA JEAN MORAN of Selbyville, DE, died with her sister and best friend, Katie, at her side on February 12, 2026, a week shy of celebrating her 75th birthday. Originally from Drexel Hill, PA and a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School, later a longtime resident of Wallingford, PA where she raised three children, before retiring to Selbyville, DE for a quiet life near the beach.Anita will be remembered for being a force of nature with an endless supply of energy that she channeled into providing for her family with unending love and support, growing a busy career in accounting and human resources, volunteering in her community, and simply helping anyone at any time on any task.Anita's most cherished role in life was being a mother and grandmother. She devoted herself to giving her children a good life and a brighter future, offering every bit of love, effort, and care she had. Though others recognized the challenges she faced, Anita never thought she was making sacrifices. To her, loving and providing for her family was simply who she was, and everything she did came from a place of deep, unwavering love, not obligation. Her strength, patience, and compassion created a legacy that will continue to live on through her family.Professionally, Anita enjoyed working in business environments where she could wear many hats and her work ethic ensured she wore them all well. Her respectful, kind and pragmatic outlook led many colleagues to consider her the "office mom," who would dole out advice or just lend an ear. Anita's thirst for knowledge and self-improvement drove her to attend college later in life, proudly earning her Associate in Applied Science in Accounting in 2006 and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Human Resources in 2008.Anita's vitality did not settle down in retirement. She insisted on working part-time and felt privileged to be a field representative with the US Census Bureau, where she interviewed community residents on a wide range of social and economic topics. Anita was proud to give her community a voice by collecting data that impacts the distribution of federal funds and helps the community plan for schools, hospitals and infrastructure.Anita was a beloved daughter of the late John F. and Virginia L. (nee Mendenhall) Moran. She is survived by her children, Diane (John) Allen, Len Hathaway and Alana (Michael) Luttermoser and her grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Sienna and Sydney, who affectionately called her "Nana." She is also survived by sisters Judy Moran, Jo Lumley and Katie Moran, brother Michael (Susan) Moran, sister-in-law Betsie Moran, and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother Jay Moran and sister Susie Moran.Visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service to honor Anita and celebrate her life at 12:00 PM, at Logan Funeral Home, 698 East Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA.
