Anita Grocholski

Anita Grocholski, 64, of Marshalltown, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Anita Buffington was born on February 14, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was the daughter of David and Carol (Feld) Buffington. Anita graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1980. She was retired, previously working for Lennox in Marshalltown. Anita enjoyed doing puzzles and was very crafty- enjoying crocheting, sewing and macramé and spending time with her Shih Tzu mix- Bella.

Anita is survived by her children: Brandi Rundial of Council Bluffs and Logan Jay of Marshalltown; step-children: Bethany Mayer, Stephany Mayer and Tiffany Mayer; grandchildren: Anthany, Nyajal, Turuk, Demetrus, Gatwech, Maria, Esmerelda, Tiana, Mana, Chris, Nyamal and Kenya. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter: Melodi and her siblings: Brett (Juanita) Buffington of Marshalltown, Jimmy Buffington of Des Moines and Laura (Travis) Hornberg of Marshalltown.

Anita is preceded in death by her son: Johnathon and parents: David Buffington and Carol (Mark) Feld.
