Angelo M. Gaudio, 82, of Guilderland, passed away on March 10, 2026, at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born on April 1, 1943, in Hudson, he was the son of the late Michele and Ida Marie Gaudio. He spent most of his life in the Albany area, where he built a long and dedicated career of service.
Angelo proudly served in the Army National Guard and remained an active member of the American Legion. He began his working life at Schaefer Brewery, later joined the Albany Police Department, and then spent 25 years on the staff of the State University at Albany. After retiring, he continued serving his community for another decade at the Albany County Courthouse. He was a former Commander of the Bucci-McTague Post 1530 and a longtime member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta A. (LePine) Gaudio; his daughter, Ida Marie LaChance of Voorheesville; his son, Angelo S. Gaudio of Latham; his sister-in-law, Donna Gaudio of Slingerlands; and his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily LaChance. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Patsy Gaudio and Michael Gaudio.
