Angelo "Buck" Lazzaro

1932 — 2026

Philadelphia, PA

Angelo Lazzaro “Buck,” age 93, passed away on March 12, 2026.

Born and raised on South Sheridan Street in South Philadelphia, Angelo was the loving son of the late Nicolina and Domenico Lazzaro. He was the beloved brother of Helen Carnuccio and Domenick Lazzaro, and the late Frank Lazzaro, Alphonse Lazzaro, and Mary “Diddy” Lipznski. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

From an early age, Angelo loved sports and played football in his youth. He remained a loyal fan of Philadelphia teams throughout his life, always cheering for the hometown clubs. A true South Philadelphia neighborhood man, he lived his entire life in the same home where he grew up, taking pride in his block, his parish, and the lifelong friendships he formed there.

Baptized at St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Church, Angelo was a devout Catholic who faithfully attended Mass every Sunday and stayed deeply connected to his church community. He worked for many years at Victory Sheet Metal in South Philadelphia and later retired from Crown Can Company while still in his 50s. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
