Angela Fortunato ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes - Dormont on Mar. 16, 2026.It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Theresa (Sugar) Fortunato, who passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 3, 1940, to Thomas and Mary Lanza. She was a devoted wife for 65 years to Ronald Rocco Fortunato (deceased) and a loving mother to Thomas, Joanne (deceased) and Michael. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.She retired from US Airways where she had a successful career as an airline reservationist. She completed her nursing degree and continued working as a registered nurse. She enjoyed many activities including continuing her education, reading, travel, and needle point. She was an avid volunteer for the Catholic church. She will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends.Angela is survived by her children; Thomas (Lorri), and Michael (Jill); grandchildren, Steven Welsh, Joseph (Samantha), Ronald (Maureen), Rachel and Jeremy; great grandchildren, Leonardo, Schenley, Atlas and Rocco; and brother Tom Lanza. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary, husband Ronald and her daughter Joanne.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection in Brookline on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Benedictine Nuns at Saint Emma Monastery, 1001 Harvey Ave., Greensburg, PA 15601(www.stemma.org) in her name.
