October 13, 1983— February 25, 2026
Lakeland, FL
Angela Starkey Kirkhart passed away on February 25, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who loved her deeply and will forever miss the light she brought into their lives. Angela had a presence that was impossible to ignore. Her beauty, her energy, and her vibrant personality could light up an entire room the moment she walked in. People were naturally drawn to her warmth, her intelligence, and the genuine kindness she showed to everyone she met.
Angela was born in Lakeland Florida on October 13, 1983. Angela was the love of my life. As her husband, I was blessed to see every side of the woman strong, thoughtful, compassionate, and incredibly bright. She had a rare mind that could listen, understand, and respond all at once, to multiple conversations leaving nobody out. This made people around her feel truly valued. She carried herself with grace, strength, and a heart that loved deeply.
Her faith was also an important part of who she was. Angela had a deep spiritual curiosity and appreciation for different perspectives on life and compassion. One of the experiences she cherished was traveling to Washington, D.C. to see the Dalai Lama, something that reflected her desire to grow, learn, and understand the world in a deeper way.
Angela believed in giving back to others and staying involved in the community around her. While taking classes at Hillsborough Community College, she remained constantly active and engaged. She participated in community service, worked for the dean, served as part of the student council government, and also worked at the campus bookstore. Angela was never someone who sat still for long—she loved learning, helping others, and being part of something meaningful.
But more than anything, Angela was a loving and devoted mother. Her children were her pride and joy, and she would always bring them up in conversations. Whether it was about their baseball games, school events, or activities with friends, Angela was always thinking of them in every situation she encountered. She was the kind of mom who welcomed all the kids into her home—watching over them, making them feel safe, and loving them as if they were her own. Many children grew up feeling the warmth of Angela’s home and her caring heart.
Angela is survived by her husband, Chris Kirkhart; her children, Audrey, Alana, and Jayden; her father, Alan Steve Starkey; her sister, Chasity and her twin sister, Angel Starkey; and many other family members and friends who will continue to carry her memories with them. She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Maxine Witherington, who passed away after battling cancer.
Angela’s life was one filled with energy, compassion, curiosity, and love. She touched countless lives through her kindness, her laughter, and the way she made people feel valued simply by being around her. The light she brought into the world will never fade in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She will always be remembered, always be loved, and never be forgotten.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 9 am at Heath Funeral Chapel with services to follow at 10 am. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33812.
