December 5, 1953— March 11, 2026
Crownsville, MD
Angela Juanita Hasty, age 72, passed away at her home in Crownsville, Maryland on March 11, 2026. She was born on December 5, 1953 to Paul Deese and Virginia Juanita (Morris) Deese in Monroe, North Carolina. A 1972 graduate of Garinger High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, Angie began her career in property management and retired as a supervisor with the Prince George's County Housing Authority after many years of dedicated service.
Angie was a warm, fun-loving people person who never met a stranger. She loved and cared deeply for her family and friends, lived her strong Christian faith through bible study, fellowship, and witnessing, and found joy in simple, everyday moments spent with those she loved. An avid reader, she also enjoyed watching the Orioles, Maryland basketball, and the Dallas Cowboys. She looked forward each year to family beach vacations in the Carolinas and cherished her lifelong love for pet dachshunds. Above all, she believed the most meaningful parts of life were found in shared meals, small milestones, and offering steady support during difficult times, creating a warm and loving home centered on kindness and togetherness.
A devoted Mimi, Angie delighted in spending time with her three grandsons. She went to the movies with Alex, talked with Ben about family history and attended his sporting events, and gently guided Camden through everyday life.
Angie is survived by her daughters, Jenny Laine Morgan (Sam) and Jamie Leigh Kirschner; grandsons Alexander Morgan, Benjamin Morgan, and Camden Kirschner; siblings Mitchell Deese (Tracy), Todd Pope (Nancy), and Teresa Allen (Barry); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend of 44 years, James Leroy Hasty, and by her parents. She leaves behind numerous family members and friends who loved her dearly.
