Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico he resided in Lakewood before moving to Toms River in 1968. He worked for the Riephoff Sawmill in Allentown for 30 years before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing Spanish music & Christmas Caroling. He was an avid Yankees fan and a very hard worker. He loved going to his son's homes to help with the lawn and any odd jobs and spending his time with family. Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Elba I Santos, sons, Roy Santos & his wife Doreen, Irving Santos, Ralph Santos & his wife Kathy and Stephen Santos, siblings, Maria Melendez, Teodoro Santos, Carmelo Melendez and Hipolitó Melendez 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester.
