October 17, 1941— March 4, 2026
Casselberry, FL
Angel L. Gonzalez, 84, of Casselberry, Florida, passed away on March 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 17, 1941, in Aguada, Puerto Rico, Angel was a man of quiet determination and steadfast commitment. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and carried the values of honor and service throughout his life. After earning his finance degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 1970, he returned to government service in technology, a career that spanned decades. He worked as a computer data analyst for the Orange County government in Florida, where he was known for his dedication and professionalism.
Angel moved with his family from Puerto Rico to Casselberry in 1980, where they built a life deeply rooted in family and community. A devout Catholic, he was a parishioner of St. Augustine Catholic Church since 1980. His faith guided his moral compass, generosity, and kindness, values he lovingly passed on to his family.
His greatest joy was found in time spent with loved ones, long telephone conversations with friends and family, and sharing the rich culinary traditions of his Puerto Rican heritage. His home was always a warm gathering place filled with laughter, conversation, and good food.
Angel is survived by his four sons, Angel, Manuel, Luis, and Ricardo; his brothers Osvaldo and Herminio; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aida, after 45 years of marriage. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a proud son of Puerto Rico who lived with purpose and grace.
