It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Angel Eduardo Dumont-Cotte, a distinguished veteran and beloved family man, who departed this life on February 19, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on September 26, 1945, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Angel was a proud son of the island and spent his formative years in this vibrant community.

Angel served his country with honor, dedicating over 20 years in the U.S. Army, where he exemplified courage and commitment. A diligent soldier, he was also awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with three stars, among others. Upon retiring from military service, he became a cherished figure in his community, known for his generosity and readiness to help others.

In his personal life, Angel was a devoted husband to Alba Liza Dumont and a loving father to his children: Angel Antonio Dumont-Carrion, Rosalba Dumont-Carrion, Coral Liza Dumont-Cotte, and Angel Eduardo Dumont-Carrion II. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Logan Xavier Dumont, Maximus Odysseus Dumont-Carrion, Rosalba Victoria Dumont-Carrion, Kellen Dumont, Trevor Dumont, Megan Lance, Anthony James Dumont, Brandon Lance, Emily Dumont, Kayla Dumont, Zachary Dumont, and Autumn Stahlschmidt as well as his great-grandchildren, Hank Hatsfield and Margarita Renee Rivera Caro. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Angel's memory to a charity of one's choice. Our family has lost its hero, our patron, and the rock who held us together. Your strength, wisdom, and unwavering love shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know you. You stood as our protector in difficult times, our guide when we needed direction, and our source of comfort when the world felt heavy.

Your presence filled our lives with stability, courage, and kindness. The lessons you taught us, the sacrifices you made, and the love you gave will continue to live within us every day. Though your absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, your spirit remains in the memories we cherish and the values you instilled in us.

You were more than a family member, you were our foundation, our inspiration, and our hero. We will miss you tremendously, but we will carry your legacy forward with pride and gratitude.

Rest peacefully, knowing your love will forever guide us.
