Andy Owen Naramore
July 23, 1943— March 9, 2026
Jasper, AL
Andy Owen Naramore, beloved husband, father, Paw-Paw, and friend to so many, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Jasper, Alabama, on July 23, 1943, to the late Claude Naramore and Rebecca Mills Naramore, Andy lived a life marked by service and devotion to family.
He served as a Walker County Commissioner during the 1980s and 1990s and remained active in politics for many years afterward. In retirement, he cherished golf outings with friends and peaceful days at the lake with his wife and family. A dedicated Alabama football fan, he rarely missed a game unless one of his grandsons had a sporting event, which was the only thing that could take precedence over the Crimson Tide.
Andy was preceded in death by his siblings, Margie Alvalee Naramore (Arthur) Watson, Alvis Eugene Naramore, Thomas Alton Naramore, Columbus Alvin “Bull” (Dolores) Naramore, and Archie Angelo Naramore.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Saundra Naramore; his daughter, Taunia (Brett) Scott; grandchildren, Trey (Lauren Gordon) Ousley and Trenton Ousley; and great-granddaughter, Sophia Claire Ousley. Those who knew him will always remember his remarkable kindness and the joy he brought to others, often saying he was the nicest guy and that he made the best ribs. His sweet soul will be deeply missed.
