Andrew "Andy" Scott Richardson

Andrew Scott Richardson, known to all as Andy, age 44, of West Jefferson, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born on October 31, 1981, in Watauga County, North Carolina, to Robert Glen and Patricia Rash Richardson, Andy grew up surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Charles and Marie Rash and Herbert and Betty Richardson.

Andy had a deep passion for technology and a natural talent for understanding how things worked. He was always eager to troubleshoot and improve computers and other electronics, finding joy in solving problems and discovering new possibilities. One of his greatest pleasures was flying his drone, which allowed him to explore the outdoors from fresh perspectives and capture the world from above.

He was a dedicated employee at United Chemi-Con, where he took pride in his work and formed lasting friendships with his coworkers. Andy’s steady presence, technical skill, and kind nature made him a valued member of his team.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia Richardson Lindley and Andy Lindley of West Jefferson; his brother, Kevin Richardson and wife Abi of West Jefferson; his nephew, Owen Richardson; his niece, Gracie Richardson; and several cousins.
