Andrew Craig Strauber

Andrew Craig Strauber

Culver City, CA

Andrew Craig Strauber, 73, of Culver City, passed away on February 10, 2026. Born on April 17, 1952, in Oceanside, New York, he lived in New York, North Carolina, and New Jersey before making Culver City his home in the early 2000s.

A dedicated audio professional since the early 1980s, Andrew built a distinguished career as an audio engineer. He earned multiple technical Emmy awards, notably for his work on The West Wing, and served for many years as a key member of the Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune road crews, specializing in telecommunications setup and maintenance. Even after retiring, he continued to take occasional freelance assignments, mixing audio for various sporting events.

Beyond his professional life, Andrew was an accomplished musician who collected more than forty guitars and basses. He frequently hosted lively jam sessions in his Culver City home, which he rebuilt from the studs up into a space that reflected his personal vision. In recent years, he also immersed himself in simulation games, including a racing simulator he installed in his dining room so he could travel the world from the comfort of home.

He is survived by his son, Justin, his sister, AJ, and his former spouse, Laura. Andrew often said he would keep working as long as it remained fun, and he stayed true to that spirit throughout his life. He will be fondly remembered by his friends and former colleagues for his passion, creativity, and lasting contributions to his craft.
