He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Story (Lanier); his parents, Andrew Howard Story and Lydia Story (Bultman); his sisters, Helen Lucille Story and Ruth Elaine Brodd; his brother-in-law Ole Brodd; his brother Albion Burnham Story; his sister-in-law Sandra Story; his son-in-law Lee Glamm; and his siblings' children, Howard Story and Marie Story Feldman.

He is survived by: his children, Douglas (Barbara) of Kenyon, Thomas (Nancy) of Kenyon, Craig of Cape Coral, FL, Carolyn of Orcas Island, WA and David (Jacob Kuriakose) of Washington, D. C. He is also survived by four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home (1725 Lyndale Ave N, Faribault, MN 55021). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
