May 14, 1960— March 9, 2026
Hico, TX
Andrea Layne Marcom Moore passed away on March 9, 2026, following a courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Born on May 14, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, to William T. Marcom and Edna Earle (Riggsbee) Marcom, she was the only daughter and second youngest of four siblings. She grew up in Fort Worth, graduated from Western Hills High School in 1978, and later took classes at Tarrant County Junior College.
Known affectionately as Sugar Frog by her father, Dudra by her brother Bill and family, and also as Andy, Mom, Mamma, and Mummy Dust, Andrea found deep joy in God’s creation. She cherished the desert, the mountains, every sunrise and sunset, and often remarked that tree branches dancing in the wind were trees waving their arms in praise to God. Above all, she loved Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Andrea is survived by her three children, Jessica Whiteley and husband Rocky of Hico, Texas, Jake Moore and partner Shelly Harmon of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joe Moore and wife Jennifer of Strang, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Lincoln Whiteley and Aden Wagner; her three brothers, Bill, Dan, and Jeffrey Marcom; eight nieces; and three nephews. Her life stood as a quiet testimony of faith, as she chose to serve the Lord and led her house to do the same.
