Andrea H. Strait

Andrea H. Strait

March 3, 1961 March 15, 2026

Schenectady, NY

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many; Andrea H. Strait, who passed Sunday March 15th at her home with her husband at her side. Andrea was a bartender at the Mailbox Tavern for many years where she made lots of friends and many who became family. Over time she took on the role as a CNA until an injury kept her from doing what she loved, caring for others. While that didn’t stop her, she cared for many loved ones during their time of need. Andrea loved to visit the beach, travel to Jim Thorpe, PA with her husband, and soak up the sun at home on Saratoga Lake. She enjoyed neighborhood poker nights, Yahtzee nights with the girls, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her Father Gerald O’Brien, mother Angeline (Theophiles) O’Brien, and her sister Vanessa Fessler. She is survived by her Husband Mark Strait, daughter Amie Strait (Tom Blake), her Grandchildren Ryan Strait, Axel Blake, and Ella Blake, Brothers Gerald O’Brien, William O’Brien, Jay Cole, Sisters Deborah Marx, Samantha Cole, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday March 21, 2026 at 10AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs.
