Ana Maria Calderon Rodriguez, affectionately known as "Nin," passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Fairfield, Connecticut, at the age of 78. Born on February 25, 1948, in Ciales, Puerto Rico, to the late Ana Rodriguez and Rafael Calderon, she later made her home in Stamford, Connecticut, where she became a beloved figure in the community.

Nin was known for her warmth, kindness, and deep empathy. A motherly presence to many within the Puerto Rican community, she had a special love for children and found joy in caring for others. She was always ready to help, comfort, and support those around her, welcoming many into her life as if they were her own family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Reyes Rodriguez, and her devoted sons, Jose Maldonado, Heriberto "Eddie" Rodriguez, and Elvin Rodriguez. She is also survived by her sisters, Ricarda Calderon and Magdalena Calderon, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Jason, Jonathon, Ethan, Evan, and Emanuel, and her beloved great-grandchildren, Luke, Kyle, Kaleb, and Levi. Nin leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members across Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, and Puerto Rico.

She was preceded in death by her siblings David Calderon, Jose Calderon, Jesus Calderon, Teresa Calderon, and Aida Calderon. Nin will be remembered for her generous heart, her compassion, and the love, strength, and devotion she showed to her family and community.
