She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Lorraine Johnson (Anenson) and Arlee B. Johnson; her grandparents, Albert, Bertha Johnson, Gustav and Emma Anenson; her father-in-law Myron J. Pedersen; and her brother-in-law Roger W. Ching.

She is survived by: her husband James Bryan Pedersen; her sons, Eric (Megan) of Aberdeen, SD and Casey (Maggie) of Fargo, ND; her sisters, Karla Stimson (Roger) of Watertown, SD, Dianne Healy of Larchwood, IA, Linda Ching (Roger) of Castlewood, SD and Brenda Rorvick (Rick) of Watertown; her sister-in-law JoLynn Rowbotham (Scott) of Brookings; and her mother-in-law Jeanette Pedersen of Brookings. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; extended family; and many cherished friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ascension Lutheran Church (2030 3rd St, Brookings, SD 57006).

Memorials in honor of Amy may be made to Feeding Brookings or Brookings Regional Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
