Amy Lyle Johnson, 44, of Washington, Maine, died at her home on March 4, 2026. Born on October 24, 1981, in New London, Connecticut, she grew up in Moosup and graduated from Plainfield High School with the class of 1999. After high school, Amy and her family moved to Maine, where she built a life centered on caring for others and for animals.

Amy worked at the Pope Memorial Animal Shelter, where she adopted her beloved first dog, Zoe, and showed a deep affection for dogs and cats alike. She later served as a certified nursing assistant at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta and worked for Anthony Zampa as a landscaper, property manager, and painter. Most recently, she was a valued employee at Gray’s Oil Company. Those who knew her spoke of her remarkable kindness; she gave freely of her time, energy, and love.
