Amy Ammerman, 52, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away on March 7, 2026. She was born on January 12, 1974.
Amy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and energy touched everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Tom Ammerman; her daughter, Chantel Wright; her son, Dustin Ammerman; her parents, Penny and Dana Wallingford; her sister, Tricia Wallingford; and her brother, Casey Wallingford. She also leaves behind her five beloved grandchildren, Cailynn, Easton, Wyatt, Braylee, and Grayson, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donna and Dana Wallingford and Clarence and Marilyn Rowland.
Amy earned her GED through Campbell County High School and graduated from Casper College as a pharmacy technician. She worked in that field for 25 years, helping others with kindness and care. She had a vibrant personality and an infectious smile that could light up any room. Outgoing and fun-loving, she loved to travel, shop, and spend time with those she held dear.
She found great joy in weekends at the lake boating, wakeboarding, water skiing, and fishing. She loved cooking for family, sitting around campfires, kayaking, and camping in the Big Horn Mountains. She also enjoyed fishing in the creeks and camping in the Black Hills with her loved ones. Above all, Amy cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. She will be remembered for her laughter, her loving heart, and the way she made every gathering brighter just by being there.
