Amelia Tovar

Amelia Tovar, 64, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, Wisconsin. Born on March 15, 1961, in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Edmundo Tovar and Maria Remedios Gomez, she grew up surrounded by family and carried the values of faith, love, and devotion throughout her life.

On March 23, 1985, Amelia married Juan Garcia in Mexico. Their marriage was built on love, faith, and dedication to family. A devoted woman of God, she remained active in her church community. She found joy in gardening, attending garage sales, cooking for her loved ones, and most of all, spending time with her family and grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.

Amelia will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Juan Garcia; her son, Emmanuel Garcia Tovar and his wife Virginia; and her daughter, Rosemari Garcia Tovar. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Keven, and Nikky Garcia. She is further survived by her father, Edmundo Tovar; her sisters, Rosalina, Irene, Irma, Olivia, and Patricia; and her brothers, Francisco, Edmundo Geraldo, and Adrian, along with many other beloved family members and friends.

Amelia was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Remedios Gomez, and her brother, Pedro. Her faith, kindness, and love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
