Alvis "Jerry" FraleyAug 17, 1946 - Mar 7, 2026NorwalkAlvis "Jerry" Fraley, 79, of Norwalk, a faithful steward of the Lord, passed away with friends and family at his side Saturday, March 7, 2026.Jerry was born in St. Paul, Virginia, August 17, 1946, son of Alvis Fraley and Lila (Austin) Fraley. In 1968, he moved to Ohio, where he worked at a General Motors facility, New Departure, for 32 years. He was a past commander at the Eagles. He served on multiple community committees throughout his lifetime, helping impart his knowledge, leadership, and care.He leaves behind two daughters, Tamara (Richard) Steinberger of Fremont and Lisa Leibacher of Seattle, WashinGton; stepdaughters, Cindy Ritzenthaler, Amy Brady, Dawn (Patrick) Failor, and Lori (Dave) Shupe; stepson, George (Jade) Ritzenthaler; brother, Bill Fraley of Midland, Texas; sister-in-law, Debbie Fraley; grandchildren, Brooke (AJ) Davidson, Megan (Philip) Amolsch, Philip Saylor, Kaiden and Jade Hansberger, John (Brittany), Tony (Blake), and Kyle (Melissa) Henley, Jamie (Nick) Call, Douglas (Kathleen) Ritzenthaler, Ashley (Matt) Dickman, AJ, and Ryan; many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren; and companion, Joyce Hauke.In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Tishey, in 2020; brothers, Tom, June, and Jackie Leigh Fraley; and sisters, Barbara Fraley and Brenda Dempsey.Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory in Sandusky, with Pastor John McClain presiding.
