Alvis E Johnson

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvis E Johnson of Boykins, Virginia, who passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy Johnson and Lucile Rhodes Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Howell Johnson; his children, Ben Johnson Sr. (Polly Ann), Meadow Johnson Kelly (Craig) and Joseph Johnson (Gwen); his grandchildren, Ben Johnson Jr., Ashley Johnson Story (Kendall), Chris Johnson (Jessica), Kelsey Johnson Lowe (Matt), Jeffrey Johnson (Casey), Kyle Kelly, Victoria Kelly Murphy (Tim) and Nathan Kelly; and his great grandchildren, Ashton, Carter, Amelia, Hadleigh, Rolli Beth, Colton, Brier, Mallory, Piper, Lottye Jo, Bennet, Avery, Lainey Jean and Wylder. He is also survived by five sisters, a brother, lots of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boykins Baptist Church (32057 Main St, Boykins, VA 23827). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
