Born in Baltimore to her parents, Woodrow W. and Almira G. Peterson, who predeceased her, Almira was affectionately known as Susie. Susie retired from teaching in 2011, a profession she began as a member of SSND at age 18. Susie is survived by brother Charles Peterson (Jacqui), sister Janet Woodyard (Richard), nephew Michael Peterson (Amanda), niece Elise Woodyard (Jeffrey Vaughn), nephew Collin Woodyard (Taylor), niece Faith Woodyard (James Wiercinski). Susie was a great aunt to Michael Peterson, Jr, Branden Peterson, Jonah Vaughn and Emma Woodyard. Susie was predeceased by her brother Woodrow R.
