Alma Jean Flynn

Alma Jean Flynn, age 78, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on September 3, 1947, in Rayville, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Thomas Buffington and Lillian Smith Buffington.

Jean was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. A longtime member of Southside Baptist Church, she cherished her relationship with the Lord. She worked for many years as a pharmacy technician, an accomplishment that brought her great pride. In her free time she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, walking trails, being outdoors, and traveling with her husband Ronnie in their RV. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Ronnie Flynn, who passed away last December, her parents, and her two brothers, Thomas and Glynn Buffington.

Jean is survived by her children, Susan Renae Buck, Steven Buck Jr. and his wife Julie, Dawn Soland and her husband Scott, and Denny Flynn and his wife Shannon; her sisters, Becky Dean and Alice Rabb and her husband Roth; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and dear friends.
