Allie “Jeanette” Curnell, 88, of Oak Ridge, Missouri, passed away on March 12, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Born on September 25, 1937, to Raymond Clingingsmith and Hazel Schneider, Jeanette was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Scott City. She devoted herself to her family and her faith, finding quiet joy in gardening, arts and crafts, and caring for her home as a homemaker. Above all, she cherished her role as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Hazel; a daughter, Kimberly G. Curnell; sisters Jessie Quade and Hazel Seabaugh; and a brother, Donald Clingingsmith.
Jeanette is survived by her sister Pat Abernathy of Jackson, Missouri; her son Bill (Marla) Curnell of Scott City; grandchildren Jeanalise (Brett) Shantz, Amanda Taylor of Springfield, Ashley (Nick) Pupek of Cape Girardeau, William H. Curnell IV of Jackson, Scott Curnell of Crystal City, Ashley Laminack (Rick) of Morley, Cortland Stephenson of Morehouse, and Dylan Eaton of Scott City; and great-grandchildren Halie Shantz, Zoey Shantz, Bri Pupek, Merrin Pupek, Felix Pupek, Aleeyah White, Noah Laminack, Alexandria King, Zayd Stephenson, Lynlee Wallace, and Cohen Stephenson.
