Allen Lee Butgereit, 58, of Waldport, Oregon, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, with his longtime companion and true friend, Mary Murry, by his side in Tidewater, Oregon.
Born on January 12, 1968, in Eureka, California, to Lee and Norma (Allen) Butgereit, Allen grew up in a family deeply connected to the Oregon coast. He spent many years as a resident of Waldport, following in the footsteps of his parents. A creative spirit, Allen was an artist who found great joy in beachcombing and metal detecting along the shores he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Allen is survived by his sisters, Laurie Butgereit of South Africa, Kim Riley of Kelseyville, California, and Annie Hulburt of Pasadena, Maryland.
