Allen J. Whewell

WESTERLY - Allen J. Whewell, beloved husband of Marsha A. (Fauliso) Whewell, of Boiling Spring Ave., Westerly, passed away at the Westerly Hospital on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was 83.Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late George, Sr. and Lois Whewell.Allen worked as a draftsman for Electric Boat in Groton for over 57 years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church, and also a Past President and member of the Marine Draftsmen's Association.Allen leaves behind his loving wife Marsha; their children, Richele Chappell (Dale), Allyn Whewell, and Jamie Whewell; four grandchildren, Amber, Ryan, Katarina and Eric; as well as 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Allen was predeceased by his daughter Alana Whewell; and brother George Whewell Jr.A Celebration of Life will be held at a time and date to be announced. Funeral services and burial will be private.
