He was born on April 13, 1955, in Salinas, California. He spent his early years in California before moving to the Atlanta, Georgia area where he lived through high school.After graduation, Allen joined the Army where he proudly served our country as an engineer. Following his enlistment, he moved with his family to the Ozarks, where he remained for most of his adult life. He earned a technical degree in HVAC-R from Vatterott College in Springfield MO, in 2000, and continued his career in appliance service and refrigeration throughout Southwest Missouri until his retirement.Allen and KadenAllen is survived by his mother, Betty Ledford, of Washburn, MO; daughter, Amy Martin, of Seattle, WA; daughter Jamie Lyons (Nick) of Cassville, MO; brother, Oscar Ledford (Dana) of Oak Harbor, WA; sister, Tammy Littleton (Anthony) of Exeter, MO; sister, Pamela Gilbert (Bob) of Hartwell GA; two grandsons; many cousins; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends and loved ones.He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Ledford, and sister, Diana Beard.Allen loved his family deeply. He was a lifelong musician who found joy in playing guitar and sharing his music with those around him. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help others in any way he could.Services for Allen will be held on June 26, 2026, at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
