South Windsor, CT

Allan William Albetski, 74, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Lucy (Gervascio) Albetski, died quietly at home on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Alfred and Theresa (Kokocinski) Albetski. Allan grew up in Enfield, graduated from Enfield High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University.

He spent most of his career in computer programming, beginning at Arthur A. Watson & Co. in Wethersfield, where he met Lucy. The couple married on April 20, 1985, and lived in Newington and Chicago before settling in South Windsor in 1998. Allan continued his work in programming with several companies and was employed at P-n-T Data Corp. in Middletown at the time of his passing.

A talented musician, Allan was an accomplished clarinetist and avid guitar player. He was a longtime member of the South Windsor Community Band, where he played clarinet and conducted, and he volunteered at the Laurel Music Camp. He loved traveling with Lucy and their family, visiting destinations across Europe and the United States. He also enjoyed collecting ducks, working on puzzles, and sharing his signature Dad jokes.

Above all, Allan cherished his family. He took great pride in hosting lively gatherings at home with Lucy and treasured every moment spent with his daughters, grandchildren, and extended family. He is survived by his wife of more than forty years, Lucy; daughters Katherine Albetski of Palmer, Massachusetts, and Rachel Albetski of Ridgewood, New York; grandchildren Henry and Kailey; siblings Eric Albetski and his wife Jan of Melrose, Julie Albetski of Enfield, and Pat Faust and her husband Dennis of Enfield; and many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Albetski.
