After retirement, he remained active and engaged, traveling to visit siblings, remodeling homes, and generously sharing his knowledge with family. He was endlessly curious, with a wide range of interests that included photography, real estate, insurance, technology, automotive repair, electrical work, plumbing, and home improvement. Above all, Allan was known for being funny, generous, and intelligent, traits that defined his character and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
His spirit of curiosity, service, and joy continues in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and in the many people he mentored and helped throughout his years.
