Allan "Kent" Henagan

Bridge City, TX

Allan “Kent” Henagan was born on May 31, 1960, in Port Arthur, Texas, and passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Kent spent 17 years at Texaco and another 28 years at Exxon Mobil, retiring in 2017. From an early age Kent was a passionate car enthusiast who bought his first Mustang at fifteen. He enjoyed rebuilding and racing the cars, spending many memorable days on the drag strip. He also loved the outdoors, especially fishing for redfish and drum near the marsh where he lived. He often took his children to his parents’ place on Toledo Bend, where they boated and skied together. Kent was known for his adventurous spirit and even mastered barefoot water skiing.

Above all, Kent was devoted to his family. He is survived by his son, Devin Henagan, and daughter-in-law Estefairi; his daughter, Erin Holt, and son-in-law Jordan; and his beloved grandchildren, Ema Henagan, Graham Holt, Sterling Holt, and a granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his mother, Kathaleen Henagan, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy G. Henagan, and his brother, Jonathan Henagan. Kent’s gentle nature, kindness, and love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
