Allan Harold Zelinsky, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2026.
Born in Columbia, South Dakota on July 14, 1940 to Harold and Ruth Zelinsky, Allan grew up with a deep appreciation for the land and the outdoors. He married Grace Hoelz of New Richland, Minnesota on September 5, 1964, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work.
Allan found great joy in tending his farms, gardening, and caring for their animals. He loved fishing and hunting, traveling with Grace to Arizona and Texas each winter, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. In July 1969 he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and remained a devoted member of the Mankato Congregation for more than fifty years. He took sincere pleasure in sharing the Bible’s comforting hope with his neighbors and looked forward to the day when God’s Kingdom would end all suffering and death, as promised in Revelation 21:4.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Zelinsky, and his brother, Chuck Zelinsky. Allan is survived by his wife, Grace Zelinsky; his son, Brian Zelinsky; daughter-in-law, Dawn Zelinsky; grandson, Colton Zelinsky; and his sisters, Diane (Jerry) Bulie and Nancy Sack, along with several nieces.
